Home Inspector Licensing and Continuing Education Classes

Wisconsin Home Inspector Continuing Education Information

Home inspectors in the State of Wisconsin are regulated by the State of Wisconsin Department of Regulation and Licensing. The state law took effect in 1999 and are listed in Subchapter 10 of Chapter 440. To become a home inspector in Wisconsin you must pass the National Home Inspector Examination and an exam on the Wisconsin Statutes and the Wisconsin Administrative rules that relate to home inspections. There is no requirement for pre-licensing education, but 20 hours of continuing education in any course relating to the general subject matter of home inspection is required. Association Standard's of Practice courses would not be a good choice for Wisconsin home inspectors. However, the rest of our courses cover home inspection topics and would be a good choice for both your state and association requirements.
