Arkansas Home Inspector Registration Board Information
Home inspectors in Arkansas are required to be licensed by the Home Inspector Registration Board. To become a licensed inspector you must pass the National Home Inspector Examination (NHIE) and ASHI's current Standard of Practices and Ethics Examination. Applicants must also have completed a minimum of 80 hours of approved classroom/onsite instruction.
To maintain and upgrade the knowledge and skill levels of home inspectors practicing in Arkansas, each inspector shall participate in the Home Inspector Continuing Education Program. As a condition of renewal all inspectors shall complete a minimum of fourteen (14) approved continuing education credit (CEC) hours during the training year preceding submission of your renewal application. No more than four (4) hours of continuing education hours per training year may be from correspondence or other distance learning sources. Arkansas regulations. Since only a maximum of four credits could be used for your renewal from i-Course we are not pursuing approval of our courses at this time.
